Hoya Gracilis occurs naturally in the Philippines, where it grows at an altitude of approximately 900 m above sea level. It is a small vine, reaching a length of 1.5 to 2.5 m. In home cultivation, it is valued for its low requirements and attractive appearance. Both its leaves and flowers arouse admiration. It captivates with small, fleshy leaves with an elliptical and slender shape. They are elongated, sharp and approximately 5 cm long and 2 cm wide. The surface of the leaves is smooth and covered with characteristic silver spots. In a sunny position, the leaves may turn pink-brown and the silver spots may become pinkish. Apart from the undoubted beauty of its leaves and attractive shape, Hoya gracilis is probably most pleasing when it blooms! Small, pink-red flowers, covered with delicate fuzz, are collected in spectacular umbel-shaped inflorescences. However, it is very sensitive to water stagnation and overflow, so the pot should have a lot of drainage holes, and the substrate must be permeable and well-drained. A suitable substrate is a universal substrate. It grows best in tight containers, kept on supports or hanging. In the period from spring to late summer, we feed them with fertilizer for flowering plants.The plant is sold in a pot with a diameter of 12 cm.
